Happy 4th of July

We had a very nice 4th. We went to Powers Lake for the weekend. It was also the celebration of the town's centennial. There were picnics, games, parades and lots of fun. It was good to visit with people I hadn't seen in a long time. The weather was wonderful and we spent a lot of time outdoors.

Our family decked out in our red, white and blue.

Andy had just gotten back from Washington, DC the night before. He brought new t-shirts for the kids that said Future President on them. Perfect timing for them to wear on our country's birthday!!

Couldn't resist the sunglasses for the kids. Super cute!!

Fun at "Grandma's Playground"

The minute we pull into my mom's driveway, Hudson says, "I need to go to Grandma's playground!". I love that my kids are playing in the park I spent tons of time in as a little girl. Although, I'm not sure how people my age survived childhood. We had a tall metal slide without guards, a merry-go-round that kids would fall under and have to lay there until it stopped spinning, etc. Now, there is fun playground equipment that it much more kid friendly. Nobody should get splinters or fall to their death from the top of the slide anymore!!

Little Delaney had fun in the baby swing.

Hudson peeking through a hole in the tunnel he had fun crawling through.

Grandma Diane having fun at "her" playground. :)

Ready for the Potty??

I am not making a big deal out of potty training with Hudson. I know that once he makes up his mind, he'll by trained in 10 minutes. He didn't walk until he was 16 months old!!! (I was 5 months pregnant and was beginning to wonder how I'd carry him and the new baby around!!!)But, when he finally decided he wanted to, he walked across the entire living room twice and hasn't slowed down since! Such a stubborn little sweetie!

Hudson asked to "sit mine little potty", so I gladly helped him out of his diaper and he sat right down. I thought to myself, "Could this be it?!?!?!?!???"

NOPE! After about 10 seconds, he said he was done and needed to go play. Back in the diaper he went...

So far, he has peed on the floor by his potty 4 times and on the side of the bath tub once. Well, it's a start! :)
